The World’s Tallest Tower through a Child’s Eye – Postcard Monday

Standing at 634 metres (2,080 feet), Tokyo Skytree has been the world’s tallest tower since 2012. Fun fact but I actually picked this postcard because it reminded me of all the kids who will be going back to school this week.

This postcard was sent to me during a friend’s recent visit to Japan. I was actually also in Tokyo after the Skytree was built but didn’t visit it at the time. Looking at this postcard, I love the drawing of the quaint urban street in contrast with the impressive Tokyo Skytree tower in the background. The children playing in the foreground reminds us of what traveling at its best can be: taking the time to enjoy the moment and finding joy in the smallest things. Sometimes we just have to let our inner child lead us on the most unexpected adventures.
