This Monday I am dreaming of the Greek Islands. I’ve never been to Greece but I would love to go one day. When I was little, I had a encyclopedia of Greek mythology that I kept under my bed; I would read if over and over again. It not only told tales of love, betrayal, heroism, and tragedy, but it also had pages upon pages of photographs of beautiful art inspired by the dramatic mythology. What a treat it would be to see firsthand the rich cultural background that inspired it all. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying this postcard and the lovely pictures below taken by my traveling friends! It is said that it was on the island of Mykonos that Hercules slayed the Giants and the large rocks on the island are what remains of their petrified corpses. Thanks for the postcard and the photographs!
