Happy Monday! So did you recognize this impressive landmark?
This is the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, Peru. The snow topped mountain towering over it is the Volcano Misti. While currently dormant, Misti is one of Peru’s most active volcanoes. Among the more interesting trivia about Misti is the discovery of several Incan mummies within its crater in 1998. It must have been and still is a quite a trip to the peak at 2380 meters!
Until next week!
