Vancouver in pictures: there’s still time for bretzel, haxen, and schnitzel at the Vancouver Christmas Market!

School’s out and wondering where to take the family? You might want to check out the Vancouver Christmas Market at Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza open until December 24th. On the corner of Georgia and Hamilton, it is one square block of Christmas magic that is accessible by transit and car. Check out the website here for hours, prices, and vendors. Currently in its sixth season, it’s getting a little bit cramped space-wise – some may disagree with the $8 admission – but it’s still a fun way to get together with friends, try lots of foods, and get in the holiday spirit. I was glad I lined up for haxen! There are also shows and a carousel for the kids and young at heart. You might even get all your last-minute Christmas shopping done here! If you’re planning on going more than once, for $1 at the door you can get season tickets or get complimentary season tickets if you buy online. Perhaps, like me, you’ll learn about the tradition of the Christmas pickle.
